How do you make all the dyes in Minecraft?
Many dyes are found naturally and some of them can be made by combining a white dye with a dye of different colors.
I have explained how to make each dye in Minecraft in detail and also an alternative way for some of the dyes.
What are the 16 dyes in Minecraft?

1: How to make white dye in Minecraft| 2 Ways
- Bones can craft white dye.
You can get bones by killing a skeleton.
Place a bone anywhere in the crafting table and you’ll get 3 bonemeal from one bone.
Then, again place a bonemeal anywhere in the crafting table and you’ll get a white dye.
- Lily of the valley will also give you a white dye.
Place 1 lily of the valley anywhere in the crafting table and you’ll get a white dye.

2: How to Make Grey Dye in Minecraft
It can be made by combining 1 black dye and 1 white dye. Place anywhere in the crafting table. You’ll get 2 grey dyes.
3: How to Make Light Grey Dye | 2 Ways
- It can be made by combining White dye and Grey dye or 2 white dye and 1 black dye.
- Or, it can be crafted by using one of the three flowers(Azure bluet, Oxeye daisy, or White Tulip) that grow randomly. Place a single flower anywhere in the crafting table and it’ll produce light grey dye.
4: How to Make Black dye in Minecraft
Wither Rose or squids can naturally craft black dyes. Ink Sac doesn’t exist in Survival mode in the Pocket Edition(PE) version however you can find it in the creative mode. Place 1 Ink Sac anywhere in the crafting table, you’ll get 1 black dye.
Place 1 Wither Rose anywhere on the crafting table, you’ll get 1 black dye.
5: How to Make Rose Red Dye in Minecraft
Red rose bush, poppy or beetroot can craft red dye. Place one of the flowers or beetroot anywhere in the crafting table to yield 1 red dye.

Peonies and Pink tulips can craft pink dyes. By using 1 pink tulip or 1 peony(flower) anywhere in the crafting table, you’ll get 1 pink dye from the pink tulip and 2 pink dyes from the peony.
You can also combine 1 red rose dye with 1 white dye to get 2 pink dyes.
7: How to Make Dandelion Yellow Dye
Dandelions or sunflower can craft yellow dye. Placing a single flower anywhere in the crafting table can yield 1 yellow dye.

Orange tulip can craft Orange dyes. Place 1 orange tulip anywhere in the crafting table and it will yield 1 orange dye.
You can also combine dandelion yellow and red rose to make orange dye. It’ll yield 2 orange dyes.

Blue orchids can craft light blue dye. By placing a flower anywhere in the crafting table can yield 1 light blue dye.
You also combine Lapiz lazuli( blue dye ) with white dye anywhere in a crafting table to get 2 light blue dyes in Minecraft.

You can combine Lapiz Lazuli( blue dye ) and cactus green dye anywhere in the crafting table to obtain a Cyan dye. It will yield 2 Cyan dyes.

You can combine Rose-red dye and Lapiz lazuli( blue dye ) anywhere in the crafting table to obtain 2 purple dyes.
