The remake version of the 2008 horror game Dead Space, developed by EA’s Motive Studio, will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S later this month. The developers have disclosed the game’s graphic options for both console and PC.
Players on the console will have the option to select from two graphical modes, which are the same across all platforms. Regardless of the choice made, the game promises to be as frightening as it was on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Let’s take a closer look at the features offered in the remake of Dead Space.
Dead Space’s remake for consoles offers players the standard choice between quality and performance modes. The quality mode offers 4K resolution and ray-tracing with a frame rate of 30fps, while the performance mode sacrifices some visual detail by running at 2K resolution and without ray-tracing, but provides a smoother experience with a frame rate of 60fps.
It’s a difficult decision as the game remade in 4K with ray-traced lighting would be visually stunning, but a higher frame rate of 60fps could enhance the horror experience.
