When Will Forspoken Release?
Forspoken is scheduled to release on 24 January 2023 for PC and exclusively for PS5 console. Many die-hard gamers like me have been waiting for the game since the trailer surfaced online. Thanks to the fans, Forspoken is leading to secure the 24th spot in Most Wished Steam Games.
Originally, I was expecting the game to release in May 2022. However, it was delayed by Square Enix till October 2022. But the publishers gave regretful news by announcing on Twitter that the game is in its final polishing phase and will be released at the beginning of the next year.
It is believed that reason for such an extensive delay in release occurred due to Forspoken demo player’s feedback which led to changes. Well, we’ll finally experience the game after a lengthy delay.
Will There Be a Forspoken for Xbox Series X?
I understand that it must be upsetting for the Xbox community to wait in line for the game after a lengthy delay. However, a YouTube video featuring the upcoming games on PlayStation 5 confirms that Forspoken will not be available for other consoles until 24 months (2 years) after the official release.
In the above-featured video, a short glimpse of Forspoken can be seen by ‘Project Athia.’ So, we can confidently say that if Forspoken is now releasing in 2023, Xbox Series X gamers will have to wait till 2025. However, don’t expect the game to release on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, as it’s set to run on the new-gen console hardware.
Forspoken Pre-Order Content
Now that Square Enix has finally announced the game’s release date, we still have time to place a pre-order before it’s too late. Each edition of the game comes with a range of bonus content for both PlayStation and PC.
