Trailers

Although you will see many trailers on the internet, the one released on Summer Game Fest gives a better insight into the game.

The world premiere trailer for One Piece Odyssey was unveiled during Summer Game Fest, giving fans a closer look at what the game has in store. The trailer begins with the Straw Hat pirates sailing along the Grand Line when they come across an island with a beam of light shooting into the sky. Intrigued, Luffy and his crew decide to investigate, but their plans are disrupted when their ship is launched into the sky and crashes down on the island.

The trailer then showcases a variety of gameplay elements and introduces some new characters. The trailer ends with a mysterious statement:

This is a world created from your memories.

Gameplay

One Piece Odyssey is a JRPG that features visible enemies in the game world and gives players the option to either engage in combat with them or avoid them. Battles in the game are turn-based and take place in “Scramble Area Battles,” in which enemies and the player’s party are randomly split into different areas. The battles also feature a “Dramatic Scene” element that adds random elements to the fight and rewards players with greater rewards for overcoming them.

Players will be able to control all members of the Straw Hat pirates, including Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Frankie, and Brook, each with their own unique abilities. In addition to battles, the game includes exploration, treasure hunting, and puzzle-solving.

Is One Piece Odyssey Multiplayer?

This is the most frequently asked question by users about the game but the only answer to this is One Piece Odyssey will be a single-player-only game as every bit of information put out by Bandai Namco indicates that it is for one person and one person only to play.

Is there an English Dub version of One Piece Odyssey with Voice Actors?

In an interview about One Piece: Burning Blood, the series producer, and game director Koji Nakajima made it clear that they are using only Japanese voiceover in order to stay true to the original atmosphere of the One Piece series.

If you’re a fan of One Piece, you may be used to the games not being dubbed. In fact, the last One Piece game to receive an English-language voice track was One Piece: Unlimited Adventure, which was dubbed by the talented cast of the Funimation One Piece dub. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an English dubbed One Piece game since then.

Will One Piece Odyssey be Found on Xbox Game Pass?

One Piece Odyssey won’t be available on Game Pass so you will have to purchase the full game since its demo gets released on Xbox on January 10, 2023.
