Latest PS5 Beta System Software Includes 1440p

Sony is going to launch PlayStation 5 latest beta system software today 28 July 2022 and the best part of this update is that the user will be using the highly requested 1440p resolution feature.

The latest PS5 beta system software will be beta limited to invited participants in select countries.

If you’re selected to participate in the beta, you’ll receive an email invitation when it’s available to download today.

Here are some features of the PS5 beta System Software:

New Gameplay and Personalization Options

  1. Support for 1440p HDMI video output, enabling players to choose an additional visual setting on compatible PC monitors and TVs.
  2. If the game you’re playing supports 1440p rendering you can experience native 1440p output on your display.
  3. You can check if your HDMI device is compatible by selecting “Test 1440p Output” under the “Screen and Video” options within system settings.

3D Audio and Stereo Audio

You can now listen and compare the difference between 3D and stereo audio on the same screen, and then choose your preferred setting.

Listing Games On PS5

You can now create and organize gamelists by going to:

  1. Your Collection tab and select Create Gamelist.
  2. Choose games to add to your gamelist, and choose your own name.
  3. You can have up to 15 gamelists and 100 games per gamelist.
  4. All games under the “Your Collection” tab of your Game Library can be added to a gamelist, including disc, digital, and streaming titles.
  5. You can also add the same game to multiple gamelists.

Easier Access

Whenever you resume a game, your in-progress activities will be shown at the top of the game hub to make it as easy and as fast as possible to get back to where you left off

Latest Social Features

These are the features that you may like the most in the new beta PS5 System Software:

  1. You can now request party members to start Share Screen to watch their gameplay
  2. You’ll now receive a notification whenever a party member is playing a game and you can join the game directly from the notification.
  3. When you accept a friend request, you can now view your new friend’s profile in Accepted Requests.
  4. In the Game Base card, you can now send stickers and voice messages to your groups.

Sony is testing this new PS5 software with beta testers today,
