iPhone 14 Pro Models May Feature Ultra-Wide Camera

A respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the iPhone 14 pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature a new Ultra-Wide camera with a larger sensor for better low light sensitivity

The benefit of having a sensor with larger pixels is that it enables the capture of images with more light and less noise without post-processing tricks, which is great for low-light situations.

According to Kuo, the iPhone 14 pro models will have larger 1.4µm pixels as compared to the iPhone 13 pro models.

However, the new components are up to 70% more expensive than the current ones so don’t expect a cheaper Pro model.

Also according to Kuo, Sony, Minebea, VCM, Largan, and LG Innotek will act as suppliers and provide the components for the new iPhone 14 Pro’s ultra-wide camera.

Unfortunately, the 48-megapixel lens capable of shooting video in 8K resolution is going to be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro models, and the standard iPhone 14 models are expected to get a standard 12-megapixel camera

Although these are all just rumors and for these rumors to come true you need to wait till Wednesday, September 7th.
