This weekend while I was scrolling through some of my old images from Google Photos, I noticed that most of my old photos had gone corrupted
This was not only me as many users have reported Google photos across Reddit and Google Support. The images have lines and deep cracks running through them, as well as other blurry or distorted areas.
Some images are more damaged than others with seemingly no pattern.

This photo corruption issue applies to both individual downloads and when using Google Takeout.
We hope that Google finds a way to solve this as soon as possible because old memories being corrupted hurts a lot.
