Sony Loses Nearly 2 Million PlayStation Plus Subscribers

As per the latest Sony financial results, they have revealed that PlayStation Plus lost nearly 2 million subscribers between July and September 2022

The only reason for losing subscribers from 47.3 million to 45.4 million is the relaunch of the PlayStation Plus service in June. However, the service includes access to an extensive catalog of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games at the Extra level, and to classic games and game streaming at the Premium level.

However, there is some good news too

According to Sony

the ratio of gamers subscribed to the service is significantly higher on the PS5 than it is for the previous generation PS4 console.

Also, the company announced that to date they sold more than 25 million units of PS5 and were able to produce roughly 6.5 million new PS5s in the three months leading up to September 30
