Now you won’t be needing a phone to connect to voice chat on Discord.
Discord is soon going to launch a new feature that will make voice chat easier on Discord for Xbox owners only. The upcoming update will allow Xbox owners to connect directly to calls in servers. This will make it a lot easier to just connect to Discord servers and start chatting with friends.
Before these users need to go through a process for connecting the call such as you need to transfer the call with the Xbox or Discord mobile apps, and once connected you can enjoy the call freely.
But now only Xbox Insiders on the Alpha and Skip-Ahead Alpha rings can start testing these changes today, and they allow you to browse all voice channels across all the Discord servers you’re in

But still, you will need a phone when you want to make a direct Discord call instead of chatting on a server. That will still require the mobile app to transfer the call to your Xbox.
So, just wait for a while and then you will be enjoying this feature in the latest Xbox update that will come in a few weeks
